It’s said that credit unions are ethical, but it doesn’t always say what that means. We have created a summary that tries to explain what Acorn’s ethical values mean in practice. The board regards this summary of our ethical values as a working document. In the first place it helps guide our development plans; secondly, it should evolve as Acorn develops.

While we may not always succeed, it’s a summary of what we try to do and how we try to behave with various groups: members, employees, suppliers, the community, and local government.
