At Acorn Community Bank, our mission has always been to ensure financial inclusion for all, providing accessible support and guidance to those who need it most. Since April last year, we have been proud to run our Financial Inclusion Project, funded by the Wiltshire Council’s Health and Inequalities Fund for a 12-month period.
This initiative, led by our dedicated officers Julie and Jade, has made a real difference in the lives of countless individuals. From helping members assess their financial situation, apply for benefits, and fill out important forms, to simply being there to listen and provide guidance, the project has been a lifeline for many facing financial uncertainty.
The Future of the Financial Inclusion Project.
As the initial funding period comes to an end, we regret to inform our community that, in the absence of additional funding, we will no longer be able to offer this service. However, we firmly believe in the tremendous impact of this programme and are actively working to secure new funding to restart and expand it in the future.
We welcome donations, sponsorships, and funding opportunities to help us bring back this essential service and extend it to more areas of our common bond. If you or your organisation are interested in supporting this initiative, we would love to hear from you.
