Easily pay your Universal Credit, Personal Independence Payments (PIP), and Child Benefit directly into your Acorn account.
If your benefits are set up to come directly into your Acorn account;
It allows our loans team to complete the loan assessment and offer our decision more quickly.
Your funds can be sent to your nominated bank account by 4.00 pm on the same day of receipt.
Universal Credit Payments
To pay your universal credit into your Acorn account go to the Universal Credit App and follow the below steps:
- Select change of details > bank account details.
- Account name: West Wilts Credit Union (Acorn Community Bank is our trading name).
- Put your own name in the next field.
- Sort code: 30-98-75.
- Account number 03204038.
- Tell them that you’re using someone else’s bank account and the reason for it is, it’s a credit union account.
- Finally in the field for roll number, please add your National Insurance number.
If you do not have access to the Universal Credit App, you can call Universal Credit to make the change instead.

It is very important that you have the correct reference number as without it we will be unable to allocate your payment automatically, which will result in lengthy delays.
Personal Independence Payments(PIP)
To pay your Personal Independence Payments (PIP) into your Acorn Account you can call 0800 121 4433, and ask for future payments to be directed to the following bank details:

Child Benefit Payments
To pay your child benefit into your Acorn Account please follow the below steps:
Download the HMRC app using this link
Request to change the bank details the benefit gets paid into.
The bank details that you will need to use are as follows:

If you are unable to use the App, and you need additional help, you can call HMRC on 0300 200 3100.
Your payment instructions
If you have instructed us to send part or all of your benefit payment to your nominated bank account, the payments will be received by your bank by 4.00 pm on the same day.
