Our Uniform Saver account is here to help you stay ahead of school-year costs. From shoes and school bags to blazers and stationery, this account lets you save regularly throughout the year—making September easier on your budget. With our Uniform Saver account, you can save a fixed amount of £5 per month over a 6-month term from February to July 2025. As a reward for your efforts, we will add a bonus of £20 to your savings. You will be able to withdraw your savings and bonus balances by August 10th, 2025. This gives you the peace of mind that comes with being financially prepared for the new school year.
Applications for the Uniform Saver account are now closed.

The table shows the bonus payout at the end of the Uniform Saver term in August 2025. The bonus is based on regular payments of the stated amount per month and no withdrawals.

Terms & Conditions
Only available to members of Acorn Community Bank.
Regular fixed deposits have to be made per month from February – July to be eligible for the bonus payout.
Bonus will be forfeited in the event of a withdrawal.
Only one Uniform Saver can be opened in a year.
Members whose loan is in arrears cannot open a Uniform Saver.

Account can be opened by completing a form or can be requested in branch / over call / email.
Account can be managed via our online Acorn App.
All savings are protected under the FSCS scheme.
The account will be closed and all balances will be transferred to your main shares account by 10th August 2025.

Deposits can be made via standing order, bank transfer or benefits deductions.
No withdrawals are allowed during the account term. Bonus will be forfeited in the event of a withdrawal.

To make a deposit into your Uniform Saver, simply set up a standing order or make a bank transfer. If your CHB comes directly to us, you can request deductions from there directly via email. Below are the details you will need:
