At Acorn, everything we do starts with people. We exist to make fair, affordable financial services available to everyone -especially to those who feel overlooked or excluded by traditional banks.

    Being a credit union means we’re owned by our members, not shareholders. So when we talk about social impact, it isn’t a marketing phrase – it’s simply who we are. Every savings deposit, every affordable loan and every conversation with a members contributes to this  mission.

  • 2024 – 2025 A year of growth and positive change

     

    Thanks to the trust of our members, this has been a year of real progress:

      Our Acorn family has grown to over 10,000 members, with more people joining every month.

      We issued thousands of fair and affordable loans, helping members avoid high – cost lenders.

    • 3

      Nearly half of those we supported were unemployed or receiving benefits, showing how vital our services are for financial inclusion.

      Savings continued to grow through popular schemed like our Xmas Saver, Uniform Saver and regular savings accounts.

      Every pound saved and borrowed stayed within our region – strengthening local households and local communities.
