We’re delighted to invite all our members to Acorn Community Bank’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2025. This is your opportunity to hear about our progress over the last year, have your say on important decisions, and help shape the future of your community bank.

Votes to Appoint New Directors

Once elected, Directors serve for a three-year term. Vacancies can be filled by co-option during the year but must be confirmed by election at the AGM. Our Chief Executive Officer, Clive Henly, was previously unpaid and also a Director. From 1st April 2025, he transitioned to become a paid member of staff and therefore resigned as a Director of the Board. He continues to attend Board meetings in his capacity as CEO.

Previously Elected and Continuing:

  • Phillip Turnbull (elected in 2023)
  • Sue Gurney (elected in 2023)
  • Chris Pollard (elected in 2024)
  • Neil Cosburn (elected in 2024)
  • Gael Decoudu (elected in 2024)

Proposed for Re-election (vote):

  • Nick Gallop – Stepped down as Chair of the Board in 2025 for health reasons but wishes to remain on the Board and continues to contribute significantly to our work.

Co-opted Directors Proposed for Election (vote):

  • Richard Laval – Former housing association board member (14 years) and chair (10 years). Professional and business experience at management and director level in IT, networking, and cyber security sectors.
  • Diane Hockley – Extensive experience as a trustee with Epilepsy Action and Mediation Buckinghamshire. Former board member and volunteer for Aylesbury Credit Union prior to its merger with Swan (now Acorn).
  • Robert Coxhead – Director of Connection Credit Union and employee of Tyco Electronics Ltd.
  • Andy Fox – Treasurer and Director of Connection Credit Union and employee of Tyco Electronics Ltd.

If you’d like to raise a question at the AGM, we encourage you to submit it in advance. This helps us prepare clear, detailed responses. You can email your questions to office@acorncb.co.uk before 5th September.
