Register to vote. It may not seem the obvious thing to do, but it’s a simple first step to improve your credit score.
When you are registered to vote, there is proof of where you live. And for the credit rating agencies, knowing where you live makes you a less risky person to lend to. So your credit score will go up. And as your credit score improves, the interest rate it costs you to borrow money will go down.
It’s a good time to register to anyway, because then you will be ready to vote in the Wiltshire Council elections coming soon, in May 2021.
Registering to vote is free. It takes about 5 minutes. You can do it here
If you are already registered to vote, you can find other ways to improve your credit score here.
